Kenyir lake is a best places to visit if you come to Malaysia. Its a men make lake and the biggest man make lakes in South East Asia and Asia. It's located in the States of Terengganu, Malaysia. Kenyir Lake was created in years 1985 by the damming Kenyir River. The lake covers 260 km2 and contains 340 Small Island. Although an artificial lake, the area has been successfully developed for eco-tourism, and there are many resorts around its shores. Fishing is popular, as are jungle treks, waterfalls and caves. Because the lake is a reservoir, the water level can vary depending on the month. The water level is highest (and the lake consequently the most beautiful) in March and April. According to the locals, the best season for fishing is August when the water level is lower.Its located near the Pahang borders and 55 Km From Kuala Terengganu(it is Terengganu capital).

Some of the activities which could be carried out here are fishing, swimming, canoeing, boating and jungle trekking. Due to the cleanliness of the lake and abundance of food supply, the Kenyir Lake has a wide variety of fresh water fish such as Baung, Toman, Kelisa and Lampam. Accommodation such as houseboats, floating chalets and lakeside resorts are also available to visitors.
