Kuala Krai - Dabong River
Beginning at the town of Kuala Krai, the River Cruise winds its way upriver through virgin rainforests to the town of Dabong. As you pass through timeless tropical forests and a number of riverine communities, the secrets of the jungle will slowly reveal themselves to you.You may catch a glimpse of shy jungle wildlife. Kingfishers, eagles and hornbills are everywhere, along with various species of monkeys. Elephants are known to inhabit this area as well...
Key Tips:A hat, sunblock, bug repellent and a bottle of water are a must on this soft adventure as you'll be spending most of the day outdoors.
How to get there:
By Bus:
Take Bus No. 5 which leaves the Kota Bahru terminal at 7.45 every morning for Kuala Krai. At Kuala Krai, take a boat which leaves at 10.00 am for Dabong. It is a 2-hour boat ride. The boat back to Kuala Krai leaves Dabong at 3.15 pm.
